Islamic Economic Journal Rahmazar (IEJR) provides a platform for academics and professionals to share insights through writings on the latest developments and advances in the science and practice of Islamic economics both in theory and practice. IEJR accommodates various ideas regarding Islamic economics with appropriate research methods. IEJR also strives to publish quality scientific papers, discussing issues of concern to Islamic economics, Islamic business and Islamic finance, at at Islamic countries and other countries that support Islamic economics system. PUBLICATION ETHICS
Ethical guidelines for journal publication
Islamic Economic Journal Rahmazar is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Yayasan Rahmazar Kurnia Jaya, Indonesia. This journal aims to publish original research articles by academics and practitioners on various topics in Islamic economics. These include research reports, case studies, theoretical applications, critical reviews, and literature studies. The journal’s scope covers Islamic banking and finance, Islamic capital markets, Islamic business management, halal industry, and other themes relevant to the development of Islamic economics and business.
As the official publisher, Yayasan Rahmazar Kurnia Jaya is fully committed to maintaining high academic and ethical standards throughout all stages of the publication process. The foundation takes this responsibility seriously and ensures that editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisements, reprint requests, or commercial considerations. Where appropriate, the editorial board of Islamic Economic Journal Rahmazar will facilitate communication with relevant third parties to uphold ethical integrity.
This statement is based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Authors’ Duties
Reporting Standards
Authors must present original and accurate work with clear research objectives that contribute significantly to society both academically and practically. All data should be described appropriately, and references must be cited properly using appropriate citation tools. Failure to cite properly is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Data Access and Retention
The editorial team may request raw data to verify research quality. Authors should prepare and retain research data for a reasonable period after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure their work is original and properly cited to avoid plagiarism. Islamic Economic Journal Rahmazar only accepts manuscripts with a similarity score below 35%.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is strictly prohibited.
Acknowledgment
Proper acknowledgment must be clearly written at the end of the manuscript. Individuals or institutions that contributed but do not meet authorship criteria should still be recognized. Authors must also declare that there are no conflicts of interest.
Authorship
Authorship is limited to individuals who made significant contributions to the manuscript, including its conception, design, and analysis. Co-authors should include those involved in data collection or processing. One author should be designated as the corresponding author, who ensures that all authors approve the final version and agree to its publication.
Conflicts of Interest and Disclosure
Authors must declare any financial support and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. This information must be included in the acknowledgment section.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If authors discover a significant error in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the editorial team and cooperate in correcting the issue.
Editorial Duties
Fairness
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political beliefs.
Confidentiality
The editorial team must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or editorial advisors. Reviewers will receive anonymized manuscripts that do not contain author details.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their personal research without the author’s written consent.
Publication Decision
The decision to publish a submitted manuscript is made by the editorial board based on the work’s quality, validity, and relevance. Legal requirements on libel, copyright, and plagiarism will also be considered. The editors may consult with reviewers or editorial board members when ethical concerns arise.
Manuscript Review
Each manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the editor for originality. The editor must manage a fair and rigorous peer-review process and select appropriate reviewers who have relevant expertise and no conflicts of interest.
Reviewers’ Duties
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist the editorial board in making decisions and may help authors improve their manuscripts through constructive feedback.
Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or are unable to provide a timely review should inform the editor and withdraw from the process.
Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism is inappropriate, and feedback should be clear and supported with arguments.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others without editor approval.
Conflict of Interest and Disclosure
Reviewers must not use information from the manuscript for personal advantage. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and reviewers must avoid evaluating manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Acknowledgment of References
Reviewers should identify any relevant literature that the authors may have overlooked. Any indication of plagiarism or significant similarity with other works should be reported to the editor.
PLAGIARISM SCREENING
Scanning of plagiarism on the manuscripts will be conducted by using Turnitin software.
AI Regulations for Manuscript Publication
- AI Screening: A Turnitin software will be used to screen manuscripts for AI-generated content. If the AI detection rate exceeds 10%, the manuscript will be returned to the authors for revision or potentially rejected, depending on the article's novelty, contribution, and overall quality.
- Prohibition of AI-Generated Content: The use of AI to generate any part of the manuscript, including the text, results, analysis, or images, is strictly prohibited.
- Disclosure of AI Assistance: Any use of AI tools for tasks such as grammar checking or copy editing must be disclosed in the manuscript's acknowledgments.
ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE
No Article Processing Charges (APC) are imposed on any authors of IEJR for submission, peer review, editing, publication, maintenance, or archiving, and immediate access to the full-text versions of the articles is permitted.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
All received manuscripts will be peer reviewed with the double-blind policy by at least 2 reviewers. The final decision of manuscripts will be made by editor in chief according to reviewers' comments in a forum of the editorial board meeting. Scanning of plagiarism on the manuscripts will be conducted by using Turnitin software.
REVIEW PROCESS:
- The manuscript that has been selected by the editorial board will be submitted to the reviewer.
- Manuscript review process carried out in a predetermined time period (a maximum of 4 weeks), if need extra time should confirm to the secretariat of the editors.
- During the review process, reviewers follow the style guide scriptwriting
- Reviewers check the substance of the text carefully to get the maening information text.
- Reviewers checking the suitability and appropriateness of writing citations with a list of references / bibliography manuscript.
- Reviewers noted and recommendations in writing to the improvement of the manuscript authors clearly;
- The results of article reviews will be sent to the Chief Editor or Managing Editor by filling out the Review Form
OPEN ACCESS POLICY
IEJR provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
ARCHIVING
This journal utilizes CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE
- Every manuscript submitted to IEJR must obey to the policy and terms set by Journal of Islamic Economics and Business.
- If the article is accepted for publication, authors continue to retain the copyright to their article and transfer non exclusive publishing rights to the journal. Publication rights on the contents of manuscript published by IEJR is owned by Journal of Islamic Economics and Business under consent and approval by the corresponding author(s).
- Full text of electronic publication of manuscripts can be accessed free if used for the purpose of education and research according to copyright regulation.
- Share ” copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt ” remix, transform, and build upon the material
- You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

JOURNAL HISTORY
Islamic Economic Journal Rahmazar is a scholarly journal managed by Yayasan Rahmazar Kurnia Jaya, Indonesia. The journal was first published in 2025 in response to the growing need for an academic platform to disseminate research in the field of Islamic economics and business. From its inception, the journal has aimed to serve as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and students to publish high-quality scholarly works both theoretical and practical related to the development of Islamic economic thought and Sharia-based business practices.
To align with international standards and enhance global visibility, Islamic Economic Journal Rahmazar uses English as its primary language of publication. This strategic move is intended to expand the journal’s impact, accessibility, and contribution at the international level, while encouraging broader collaboration among scholars worldwide. Publishing in English enables the journal to reach a wider academic audience and play a more prominent role in the global discourse on Islamic economics and business.
